The tools needed for this job include a flat-head screwdriver and a trim removal tool. The skill level needed to complete this job is intermediate. The following steps should be taken to replace the old interior roof dome light with the new one:
- Using the flat-head screwdriver, gently pry the old interior roof dome light cover off from the edges.
- Once the cover is removed, unplug the old interior roof dome light from the electrical connector.
- Using the trim removal tool, gently pry the old interior roof dome light from the headliner.
- Plug the new interior roof dome light into the electrical connector.
- Gently press the new interior roof dome light into place on the headliner.
- Reattach the cover by pressing it into place until it snaps securely.
The job should take approximately 15-30 minutes to complete.
