2002-2003 Ford Sport Trac 4.0 Engine Fuel Pump and Sending Unit

Installation Instructions:

1. Before starting, make sure to relieve fuel system pressure and disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the fuel tank from the vehicle according to manufacturer's instructions.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector and fuel line from the fuel pump assembly.

4. Remove the locking ring by turning counterclockwise with a locking ring removal tool.

5. Carefully lift the fuel pump assembly out of the fuel tank.

6. Remove the old fuel pump and sending unit from the assembly by disconnecting the electrical connector and removing the retaining clips.

7. Install the new fuel pump and sending unit in the assembly, securing it with the retaining clips and connecting the electrical connector.

8. Install the fuel pump assembly back into the fuel tank, aligning the tabs on the assembly with the slots on the tank.

9. Reinstall the locking ring by turning clockwise with the locking ring removal tool.

10. Reconnect the fuel line and electrical connector to the fuel pump assembly.

11. Reinstall the fuel tank back into the vehicle according to manufacturer's instructions.

12. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
