This Leaf Spring U-Bolt is a genuine new OEM part designed to fit 2001-2005 Ford Excursion 4X4 models. It is a direct replacement for the original leaf spring u-bolt and ensures proper functioning of the vehicle's suspension system.
To replace the existing leaf spring u-bolt with this new part, follow these steps:
- Locate the leaf spring u-bolt on the vehicle.
- Using a socket wrench, loosen and remove the nuts and washers from the existing u-bolt.
- Remove the old u-bolt from the leaf spring and axle.
- Install the new u-bolt onto the leaf spring and axle in the same location as the old u-bolt.
- Place the washers and nuts onto the new u-bolt and tighten to manufacturer specifications.
This installation process should take approximately 30-60 minutes and requires moderate mechanical skill.
